The first three chapters of this book discussed the basics of the internet and world-wide web. Chapter one was really just “calming” voice or more appropriately a pep talk about what is actually needed to design websites. This chapter discussed some of the players who are involved with web designed. I was most attracted to the idea of an information designer.
Chapter 2 was an overview of how a website works. This included the anatomy of a website and how a website was served a browser. Chapter 3 focused on the problems and nature of web design. This chapter spent a lot of time discussing browsers and the various settings that can affect how a page is viewed.
